Every programme at Tao Yuen starts from the same point: the resident decides how involved they want to be. Staff create the conditions; residents shape the experience.
Enquire
A conversation — by phone, email or in person — to understand what matters most to the prospective resident or their family. No form-filling at this stage.
Visit
A relaxed tour of the house, the studio and the garden, with time to ask questions and get a feel for the rhythm of the place. Many residents join a session during their visit.
Begin
A simple monthly arrangement is agreed. Residents settle in at their own speed, with a staff member available throughout the first few weeks to help with anything that comes up.
Companion Circles
Small social groups that meet through the week for tea, card games, mahjong and shared stories. Hosts hold the room with a light touch — creating easy openings for conversation without pressing anyone to take part. Residents join as often or as occasionally as suits them.
